To make sure it’s stable and safe, it secures with two strong clamps, tightened with handwheels. The clamps also include metal plates to prevent damage to the bedframe. Product safety Bed grab rails must only be used for help getting in and out of bed, or for adjusting your client’s position in bed. They are never to be used to keep a person from falling out of bed. For safety reasons, bed grab rails may not be suitable for people with cognitive impairments or conditions that cause involuntary movement such as epilepsy or spasms. When choosing your bed grab rail, please refer to the User Instructions and Technical Data Sheet - which you can download using the links on this page - to check suitability with your bed. Bed grab rails must be installed correctly, and only used and maintained in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
